Maintenance & Production Manager - Textile - West Africa

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the operation and maintenance of weaving looms and other textile machinery.
Ensure maximum machine efficiency and minimum breakdown time through preventive and corrective maintenance.
Monitor and control the production process to meet quality standards and output targets.
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in looms and coordinate repairs.
Maintain an inventory of spare parts and coordinate procurement when required.
Implement best practices for maintenance and production to improve efficiency.
Train and guide operators in machine handling, safety protocols, and productivity improvements.
Work closely with the quality control team to minimize defects and enhance fabric quality.
Maintain records of production data, downtime analysis, and maintenance schedules.
Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and industry standards.
Key Requirements:
Diploma/Degree in Textile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in maintenance and production within a weaving department.
Hands-on experience with Rapier, Airjet, and Projectile looms is preferred.
Strong knowledge of weaving technology, fabric construction, and machine troubleshooting.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Experience in the textile industry in Africa is an added advantage.
