A Site Engineer is responsible for managing construction activities on-site, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards. They act as a link between project managers, architects, and workers while overseeing day-to-day operations

Key Responsibilities:

Project Execution & Supervision
Oversee construction work, ensuring it aligns with approved plans and specifications.
Monitor progress and resolve technical issues on-site.
Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
Quality Control & Safety Compliance
Ensure work adheres to safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
Conduct quality checks and inspections to maintain construction standards.
Enforce health and safety guidelines on-site.
Site Coordination & Communication
Liaise with architects, engineers, and clients to ensure smooth workflow.
Maintain clear communication between the site team and project management.
Handle workforce management, ensuring productivity and efficiency.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate records of daily site activities, progress reports, and material usage.
Prepare site reports and submit updates to project managers.
Manage project documentation, including contracts and permits.
Cost & Resource Management
Assist in budgeting, cost estimation, and procurement of materials.
Monitor resource utilization to avoid wastage and inefficiencies.
Ensure timely delivery and proper storage of construction materials.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
Problem-solving and decision-making skills
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
Proficiency in project management software (AutoCAD, MS Project, etc.)
Leadership and team management skills
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
5-10 years of experience in construction site management
Certification in safety standards (e.g., OSHA) is an advantage
Professional Engineering license or certification e.g. (COREN)
