Job Summary
- The Gardener is responsible for maintaining the beauty, health, and cleanliness of outdoor spaces, including lawns, gardens, and landscaped areas.
- This role involves planting, watering, pruning, and ensuring proper care of plants and greenery.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain lawns by mowing, edging, and fertilizing.
- Plant flowers, trees, shrubs, and other plants.
- Water plants regularly and ensure proper irrigation.
- Prune and trim trees, hedges, and shrubs.
- Remove weeds and control pests using safe methods.
- Apply fertilizers and soil conditioners as needed.
- Keep garden areas clean and free of debris.
- Operate and maintain gardening tools and equipment.
- Monitor plant health and report any issues.
- Assist in landscaping projects when required.
Requirements
- Minimum of SSCE or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience as a gardener or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of plant care, soil types, and pest control.
- Ability to use gardening tools and equipment safely.
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in different weather conditions.
- Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping techniques.
